Our Story

Our shortage of store-bought BBQ sauce lead to a kitchen experiment that changed everything.

Using a tomato base, and a little bit of trial and error, we created a sauce we loved. After sharing it with some coworkers, we found they loved it too. With many requests to buy some from us, we realized it was time to turn this sauce into something more —a legitimate business—so that’s exactly what we did. 

The Hawg House was born in July of 2013.



Early success of the business led to more experimentation, which resulted in more sauces, mustards and dry rubs. Now, a few years later, we offer 25 products available with 5 award winning items (Hawg House Special Rub, Chipotle Sauce, XXX Sauce, Peach Bourbon Sauce, and Southern Style Orange Sauce). 

Not too long after developing our products, we purchased a smoker and started smoking pork, brisket and wings using our sauces and rubs. We started a full blown catering service with other foods like garlic and herb mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese, baked beans and more. All our own homemade recipes.
Our catering started out small with birthday parties and picnics, but soon grew to larger events like graduation parties, baptisms and weddings. With all the catering, food truck events and festivals, we purchased our food truck. A 30-ft long industrial kitchen on wheels that can serve all our favorite foods with ease. 

We have a passion for good, homemade comfort food and we want to share that with everyone. We love what we do and look forward to what the future holds for us! We thank each and every one of you for your support!
